Shimba Hills National Park

Shimba Hills National Park

Less than an hour inland from the ocean lies Shimba National Reserve - the last remaining home of the Sable antelope in East Africa.

With a two day trip to Shimba, you should see the sables as well as elephants, giraffes and buffaloes...and if you’re lucky a leopard. Nearby is Mwaluganje Elephant Sanctuary - a successful conservancy, which thrills every visitor! On a clear day, you can see an outline of Tanzania’s Kilimanjaro from Shimba!

Tsavo National Park

Tsavo National Park

As one of Kenya’s largest and oldest national park, Tsavo’s proximity to the coast has made it a popular safari destination.

In each of it’s two halves (East and West) the park’s plentiful game includes elephant, rhino, lion, leopard, buffalo, cheetah, zebra and many more. And don’t forget the prolific birdlife! Whilst a one day excursion can be really rewarding, for real classic memories, we’d recommend a longer trip.

Taita Hills Game Sanctuary

Taita Hills Game SanctuaryThis is privately owned and situated not very far from the main Nairobi-Mombasa highway. Mt. Kilimanjaro may be viewed on clear days from a distance.

The resident animals include lions, elephants and several species of herbivores. You could combine Tsavo East and Taita hills in a two days safari.

Amboseli National Park

Amboseli National ParkAmboseli lies on the slopes of Africa’s Highest mountain, Mt. Kilimanjaro and has a size of 392sq km.

Game patronizing this park include leopard, lion, giraffe, elephants and a lot more amazing variety of animals and birdlife. Don’t miss Amboseli for that memorable photo of your holiday with that background of Mt. Kilimanjaro.

Masai Mara Game Reserve

Masai Mara Game ReserveRecently recorded in the Guiness book of records as being one of the eight wonders of the world, is the annual MIGRATION OF THE WILDEBEEST (in their thousands) to the Masai Mara from Serengeti ( July-October)!

Basically Masai Mara is an extension of the environs of the Serengeti park in Tanzania. It is also famous for its pride of black maned lions.

The Mara is often very busy with visitors during the migration. Road safaris are comfortably achievably comfortable from Nairobi, but due to the distance, air safaris recommended from Mombasa.

Reliable charter flights ply the Mombasa-Mara air space.
